Wel Come to Gaden Jangtse Norling College
Gaden Jangtse Norling College is one of largest buddhist college in India which is situated in north Kannada, Karnataka State. GJNC is found in Tibet early 18th century by Horton Namkha Palzang. After Chinese invasion and destroyed monastery in Tibet in 1959, Some of senior monks fled from Tibet and re-established in Buxa, West Bengal but unfortunately many of monks not able to survive because of weather condition. Finally they shifted from Buxa to currently place where Gaden Jangtse Norling College is situated near Mundgod town in 1968.

Monastic administration term is for two years. Every two years, monastic administration members are changed after voting by monastic all monks. Elected members are divided and allocated by themself after meeting. Then three members is taking charges of monastic head office with one Tibetan Secretary and one Internal Accountant, four members are taken in-charge at community kitchen, two members sent to Dharamsala’s prayer house (Mani Lhakang) and Guest House, in Himachal Pradesh, one members is taking incharges at Dharamsala Guest House and one is in Dekeyling prayer house, Uttarakhand.
